Helping Nonfiction Writers since 2006
Welcome! If you're looking for an experienced nonfiction book editor, you've come to the right place.
In the last eleven years, I've worked on hundreds of manuscripts for authors, publishers, and book packagers all over the United States. I excel at hunting down wayward grammar, improving readability, ensuring consistency, and helping authors produce clear, engaging prose. My consistently high-quality work has resulted in years of repeat business from several clients as well as requests to work on high-profile titles such as the New York Times best seller The Value of Debt.
I've written seven educational books for children and young adults, so I'm familiar with nonfiction-specific conventions to clearly and intuitively present arguments, information, events, and steps. Among my writing credits are biographies on Malcolm X and Pocahontas, an award-winning book on economies around the world, and a 350-page informational text for high school athletes.
Whether your nonfiction work needs developing, polishing, or finalizing, I can help. Contact me about doing a free sample edit.
"Please know how impressed I am with your level of expertise and attention to detail. . . . If your ears ring today, it's because I'm telling one of my friends how blessed I am to have you working on my behalf."
"Gail was wonderful to work with. She did a great job cleaning up our coaching manual, providing a clear voice and keeping us on track."
