I love words—how they sound, how they work together in sentences, how they appear on the page. Back in college I made words my major (BA in English from UCLA; go Bruins!), and I have been working with words ever since—first as an eighth grade English teacher and now an editor and writer.
Since 2006, I have edited more than 160 books: how-to, self-help, biographies, memoirs, encyclopedias, historical dictionaries, academic studies, college textbooks, teacher resources, young adult nonfiction and fiction (sci-fi), and adult fiction (action/adventure, fantasy, sci-fi). My clients include traditional publishers, self-publishing authors, and editing services companies all over the United States.
My writing focus is educational nonfiction for children and young adults. My published books include biographies on Malcolm X and Pocahontas, an award-winning book on economies around the world, and a 356-page resource for high school athletes.
Newsflash: My book Sports: The Ultimate Teen Guide just came out in paperback! VOYA describes it as "an easy-to-read, approachable book about sports and why they matter for high school students." Click here to check out the book and reader reviews on Amazon.
